We were lucky to discover Le Marche back in 2013.

At the time we both had jobs in the UK but wanted to find somewhere with a better climate and to work remotely.   We started exploring properties for sale and stumbled on a house in Le Marche, a region in Italy we had never heard of. 

So, one autumnal weekend late in November we travelled to Italy to view this property along with a few others.  Although we didn’t buy the property that originally drew us to Marche that weekend we agreed to buy our current property.  At the time it was just a renovated shell built in traditional stone with a terracotta tiled roof, but had the most amazing views that you could gaze at all day every day with over 60 olives trees and a wood.  The purchase also included a renovated small cottage set below the house – which was a surprise bonus as we never looked at it during our visit.

On our first visit after we had bought these we were pleasantly surprised at how delightful the cottage was and it provided a great base for us to stay to oversee the renovation of our house.  In July 2015 we finally completed our renovations and welcomed our first group of family and friends to stay.

The cottage accommodates up to 4 people and can be rented through Airbnb

Every day we count ourselves lucky to have discovered this area with its outstanding natural beauty and welcoming people, it immediately felt like home.

 

We have spent the last 10 years uncovering great places to eat and visit in our local area and we have shared most of these with friends and family and some of their friends who have come to stay.

 

We have both travelled extensively throughout the world and stayed in some fantastic hotels but hotels are unable to provide the hosted experience which enables travellers to get the most out of an area.  We feel that there is a more personal way to help people explore and discover  Le Marche. So now retired we are looking to share our experience with couples or small groups of up to 6 people who would like to discover a part of Italy away from the main tourist destinations and stay in comfortable surrounding with a fully hosted experience.

So we have decided to open up our house and host adult guests for holidays 

and we look forward to welcoming you.
