Guest Reviews
Our mission in establishing Finding Marche was to show our guests what this fabulous region of Italy has to offer. Therefore we really appreciate our Guest Reviews which provide us with the motivation to offer our Hosted Stays to people who would like to have an authentic experience of the food and landscapes that surround us.
So please do see what they have said below
" Mark and Mel were outstanding hosts. They helped us discover a part of Italy we had never before considered but will now always remember.
There were so many great parts to this holiday. Loro is such a fabulous place made all the better by the lovely expansive home they have renovated. Spectacular views of the surrounding villages with all the home comforts, beautiful furnishings, a lovely pool and outdoor areas for enjoying a glass of red to two.
We were given such a memorable time with exquisite dining experiences, wine tastings and scenic drives. Mark and Mel brought energy and fun to everything, and this was matched by the other local personalities we were introduced to along the way. We are so glad we discovered the Marche region this way and can wholeheartedly recommend it to others."

"If you want an authentic Italian experience, with all the delights of Tuscany without the prices or tourists, then look no further than this spectacular holiday accommodation in the medieval hilltop village of Loro Piceno in Marche.
A stunningly high spec generously sized home, with views across the valley, a swimming pool and seating areas giving you options for sun and shade. My husband and I have stayed here twice.
On our first visit we drove across the UK, France and through Italy in our motor home to join three couples we were holidaying with. On our second visit we flew into Rome hired a car from the airport and drove across to Loro Piceno – a simple morning’s drive. Our friends flew into Ancona and hired cars there, about an hour’s drive door to door.
While the exterior looks initially like a traditional Italian farmhouse, once inside it has been tastefully decorated.
Location-wise, you could not ask for anything better. It is about a 5-minute drive into the centre of Loro Piceno (or a half hour walk if you are inclined – I did this once and it can get a bit hot!), where you can find superb restaurants and cafes, and La Taverna which often has live music and dancing late into the night. We also went further afield, with the hosts giving us great pointers to superb top-class restaurants in neighbouring hilltop villages.
Daytime activity options are endless, if you want to leave the gorgeous house and pool, that is! We went wine tasting at several vineyards, and if you are interested in history, the region is full of it. We never felt bored here.
The property feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by stunning views, and gardens full of wildlife, the hilltops on the horizon lighting up at night as surrounding villages settle in for the evening. Ever been sung to sleep by a nightingale? We hadn’t either until we stayed here – an incredible sound. In the day buzzards swoop and soar overhead, and we spotted Mohican headed and striped back hoopoe birds flitting around the undergrowth, just magical. At night, glowing fireflies chase through the garden looking like enchanted fairies.
This is a very special place. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Italian experience, with a touch of luxury, everything you would want from a holiday and all the comforts of home. "

"Whilst Finding Marche may be a new venture for Mel and Mark, our hosts, you would never have known it from the warm and relaxed welcome they gave us. It was as if they had been hosting and showing guests around Loro Piceno for years. They were able to share with us the history of the area, take us on beautiful, guided walks and show us around some of the historic towns nearby. And then, we were able to share with them some of the fantastic local restaurants which all served delicious food in wonderful settings. The highlight for me was La Torre, Numana, perched above the Adriatic Sea. The food was delicious and the views were spell binding.
And in addition to all of the above, should you choose to relax, their home provides the most relaxing place to sit and read a book or swim in their lovely pool, no doubt with a cool drink never far away."

"Mark and Mel have created a little paradise in Le Marche. If you love to discover the real Italy, the one that only speaks Italian with a display of emotions only a true Italian speaks with, Le Marche is your place to be.
Tuscany’s medieval villages that are perched on top of hills attracts busloads of tourists. Le Marche has the same romantic medieval villages, but astonishingly, only locals stroll these cobbled streets.
So, it comes in handy that Mark and Mel speak some Italian and know the area well. Thanks to their recommendations and translations we have dined in the most amazing restaurants, joined locals in their festivities, seen stunning waterfalls, enjoyed a true Italian 7-course lunch at the beach, and got to know the vast countryside with its old villages.
Their house is a lovingly restored building designed for entertaining in luxury. Each air-conditioned room has a very comfortable bed (you’ll notice how much sleep you can catch up on!) and its own luxurious bathroom. The spacious family kitchen spills over to a large al-fresco entertainment area with a jaw-dropping view over numerous valleys and hills. The pool right must be the pool with the best view in the whole of Italy.
Thank you we had a great time and we’re looking forward to coming back, again – for a 5th time!"
